Hello friend, whether you are working or studying in the electrical field, if you have heard these two words earthing and grounding, today we will understand the difference between earthing and grounding. So today, we will see what Earthing Grounding is. And let me explain the difference between the two.
First of all, you have to remember that earthing and grounding are done in the same way. This means that copper wire or copper belt is extracted by digging a hole in the ground. But when a wire or a belt is pulled out of the ground, it makes a difference whether it is called grounding or earthing.

What is Earthing?
Earthing is the digging of copper wire into the ground. This wire is connected to the body of the electrical device. This earthing wire is connected across the body of the equipment. The body of the device is made of metal. Because the current flows easily on the body of the metal.
Earthing Requirement:
After the earthing work, if, for any reason, the live wire touches the body, the overcurrent goes straight to the ground with the help of the wire. And in between, if someone touches the device, it doesn’t feel current.
What is Grounding?
On earth, as in earth, copper wire is dug by digging a hole in the ground. But in grounding, this wire is not connected to the equipment body. In grounding, the earth wire is connected to the neutral wire of the current supply. There is a way to get the current to use the grounding in the same way.

Difference Earthing and Grounding:
Earthing: Earthing is used to protect humans in case of electrical faults.
Grounding: Grounding is required for the safety of equipment in case of an electrical fault.
In Earthing, we are connected with equipment and land. Also, in grounding, this is connected to its live wire-neutral site.
The green-colored wire is mostly used in earthing. While the black-colored wire is used in grounding.
Earthing is used to prevent electrical shock. But grounding is used to balance the three-phase electrical system.
On Earth, the dead part is connected to the ground. In normal conditions, it does not come in contact with the live part. In grounding, the live part in which the current flows is connected to the ground.
Example: We connect neutral to the ground in the transformer and generator. This is called grounding.
While the body of the transformer and the generator are made of metal. But we attach it to the ground to avoid grief. This is called Earthing.
